• USM brings back summer productions

The University of Southern Mississippi is excited to announce the return of Southern Arena Theatre (SAT) with not two shows, but three shows this summer.
Last year, as a result of budget cuts at Southern Miss, SAT was forced to close its doors. Thanks to enthusiastic community support and dedicated faculty and staff at the University, one of the Gulf South’s most extraordinarily talented repertory theatre groups is ready for curtains and its 40th season.

  • ARC Showstoppers present Broadway

When the ARC Showstoppers take the Saenger Theater stage on May 21 there won’t be anyone more proud than ARC director Cindy Pennington.
Thanks to help from the Hattiesburg Arts Council and all who support their efforts throughout the community, Pennington will be able to mark this dream off her bucket list. Through their many and varied programs, the Arc promotes and encourages the acceptance of those with mental disabilities by exposure to and interaction with people in the community.

  • Into the Woods comes alive

Celebrated Hattiesburg filmmaker and actor Miles Doleac directs. The music is directed by Dr. Michael Miles.
