• Behind-the-scenes look at Spring Fashion shoot

I generally use this column to discuss fashion trends, style tips or my personal experiences with fashion. This month, I want to go in a different direction. I want to give you an insider’s view into what will surely go down as a very memorable photo shoot.

  • Fashion Rocks!

My first concert was New Kids on the Block. It was 1989, and I was a very awkward 10-year-old. My poor dad, who deserves to be given sainthood for this, took me, along with my brothers, to the Superdome for the show. My brothers were six and three at the time. See what I mean about the sainthood? Also, one of the best ways to embarrass a 30-something guy is to remind him about the time he went to see a boy band with his blankie and pacifier in tow.
But I digress. This column is about fashion, not music or the numerous ways to torture your siblings.

  • A guide to proper wedding attire

  • Bare Minimum

A new year is here! It is a time of resolutions, goals and promises to start fresh when the clock strikes midnight on Jan. 1.  “Out with the old and in with the new” becomes our philosophy as we attempt to shape the next year of our lives.
So, how does this apply to fashion? If you keep up with current fashion blogs and trends, it means creating a “capsule wardrobe,” which is a fancy term for a massive closet clean out that leaves you with only 12 to 30 pieces of clothing.
