HUB CITY MAKER’S MARKET

The Hub City Maker’s Market takes place the first Saturday of each month and is a great place to get one-of-a-kind holiday gifts and keepsakes. The market’s goal is to give local artists a chance to sell their wares and educate the public about arts and skills, such as leather working, forging metal, crochet/knitting, wood working, sewing, glass work, pottery/ceramics and more.

HATTIESBURG CONCERT BAND
3PM @ SAENGER THEATER 

The City of Hattiesburg Concert Band performs a musical salute to America's armed forces at 3pm, Sunday, Nov. 4, at the Saenger Theater.  VFW Post 3036 will be on hand to post the colors and honor all branches of the services by also posting their flags.

This event is free and open to the public.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 8
BOURBON CELEBRATION BENEFITING THE GREATER PINEBELT COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
5:30-9:30PM @ CANEBRAKE COUNTRY CLUB

Taste a variety of 40 + bourbons, judge a bourbon cocktail competition between the leading bartenders in the area, soak in the live visual and vocal entertainment, while enjoying a spectacular evening with friends. The Bourbon Celebration benefiting The Greater Pinebelt Community Foundation, sponsored by First Bank,  is being held at Canebrake Country Club. The VIP ticket holders arrive at 5:30pm sharp, followed by all other ticket holders at 6:30pm. All ticket holders will be introduced to an array of bourbons while having the experience of tasting multiple bourbons. There is live entertainment lined up for the evening from vocal to visual artists, as well as  a silent auction, bourbon bottle etching, cigar bar, appetizers and a Bourbon Cocktail competition.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9
JUNIOR AUXILIARY’S ANNUAL CHARITY BALL 
8PM-12AM @ THE BOTTLING COMPANY 

The Junior Auxiliary of Hattiesburg invites you to join them "Under the Big Top," from 8-12am Friday, Nov.  9, at The Bottling Company for the annual Charity Ball. With an on-site and mobile auction, live music provided by Super T, carnival games and more – this will definitely be a night to remember!
The Junior Auxiliary (JA) of Hattiesburg is proud to celebrate more than 75 years of partnering with local individuals and businesses to serve area children and meet a wide range of needs in the Pine Belt.  In 2017, JA was privileged to fund 19 community service projects benefiting children and families in the Pine Belt area. All proceeds from our annual fundraiser go directly to fund the service projects of the Junior Auxiliary of Hattiesburg.

3RD ANNUAL KREWE OF ST. FABIAN INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
4-10PM @ KING ROAD

The location for the festival is the open parking lot between BancorpSouth and Smith Brothers’ Collision Center, just north of Hwy 98. Outdoor mass will be held at 4pm. This year’s festival will feature more cultural food booths, live music, raffles, arts and crafts, an expanded kid’s area, and more! The BYRNE BROTHERS from Ireland will be performing, along with Los Charros, a Mexican band originally from Saltillo Mexico, and South, a party band from New Orleans.

The festival is free and open to the public.

MOSCOW BALLET’S GREAT RUSSIAN NUTCRACKER

Christmas is coming and so is the one and only Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker. The production is set from 3-5pm Sunday, Nov. 11, at the Saenger Theater in downtown Hattiesburg. SIXTH ANNUAL DADDY’S LITTLE PRINCESS FATHER/DAUGHTER DANCE 
6PM @ THAD COCHRAN BALLROOM

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Lambda Kappa Zeta Chapter and the Pearlette Youth Club present the sixth annual Daddy’s Little Princess Father/Daughter dance at 6pm November 16 at the Thad Cochran Center Ballrooms, USM Campus. Tickets are $30 for father and princess couple, $10 per additional princess; $12 general admission for mothers, grandmothers and fairy godmothers (with the purchase of a couple’s tickets. Prices will increase Nov. 2. 

Proceeds will benefit the March of Dimes.

DOWNTOWN CHRISTMAS PARADE AND TREE LIGHTING

“A Downtown Rockin’ Christmas” is the theme of the 68th annual Christmas parade sponsored by the Hattiesburg Jaycees. The parade begins at 6pm on Hardy Street and ends with the Christmas Tree lighting in Town Square Park. Additional activities include photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Clause in Santa’s Village, smART Space art horses, as well as food and beverage vendors. To conclude the night, several downtown Hattiesburg businesses will be open.

South Mississippi Ballet Theatre presents The Nutcracker 7 p.m. Saturday, December 8, and 2 p.m. Sunday, December 9, at the Brownstone Center on the Pearl River Community College Campus in Poplarville.
